The wine cellar at Quintessence Hotel is unrivaled in the Caribbean, offering guests an astonishing selection that has taken a lifetime to collect. Owner Geoffrey Fieger has spared no expense in creating The Q Cellar, which consists of two chambers located beneath our five-star restaurant JULIANS.
Handcrafted in stone, brick, and cedar wine racks, the cellar is designed in a Tuscan style, with a barrel-vault ceiling. Over 1,600 bottles of wine are protected with state-of-the-art temperature and humidity controls.
On one side of the cellar is Geoffrey Fieger’s Private Collection. For over 25 years he has amassed this collection like a work of art. Taken as a whole, Its value is truly priceless, and will impress the most sophisticated oenophile.
As part of the Quintessence ultra-luxury experience, our guests are invited to intimate tastings in The Q Cellar with seating up to eight. Sommelier Albert Lake takes pleasure in uncorking every bottle and educating guests as to the wine’s character and senses. Guests appreciate Albert’s knowledge and passion, as seen in this recent review on Trip Advisor:
“The staff is talented, discreet and attentive — and the highlight is Albert the wine steward — a jewel in the crown.” — Tiffany T.
Geoffrey Fieger continues to grow the JULIANS wine collection, adopting new favorites into the fold, to complement Chef Dominique Thevenet’s fusion of tropical and French — a cuisine Geoffrey calls “island soul food.”
We invite you to join us for a toast at Quintessence Hotel.
